Vicky Yannoula

Vicky is a classical pianist and a contemporary singer engaged in an array of performance, managerial, educational and entrepreneurial activities. She is the Director of Akouson Classical Artists and in the agency's artist roster.

Vicky Yannoula is a classical pianist and a contemporary singer engaged in an array of performance, managerial, educational and entrepreneurial activities. In addition to her activities as a concert pianist, Vicky is Director of Akouson Classical Artists and Chief Executive of the Hackney Youth Orchestras Trust.

Vicky began receiving piano tuition in Corfu-Greece where she was born. She continued her piano studies at the National Conservatory of Athens and obtained her Piano Recital Diploma with Distinction and a Special Prize for Exceptional Performance. She holds a Bachelor in Music (Honours) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Performance from the Royal College of Music. She also holds a Masters in Performance course from Goldsmiths College, and worked with professor Ruth Nye, a former pupil of the renowned pianist Claudio Arrau.

A few recent performances include solo piano and chamber music recitals at the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Kings Place, William Aston Hall, Leicester Cathedral, Thessaloniki Concert Hall, Sherborne Abbey and Christchurch Priory. Past performances include concertos for piano & orchestra with Christchurch Sinfonia and with the Youth Orchestra of Wil, a recital at the Summer Festival of the International Holland Music Sessions and further recitals at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall, the Literature Society of Corfu, the Athens College Theatre, the Ionian Academy and other halls. Vicky has performed at the Paxos Festival in Greece, has collaborated with distinguished violinist Leonidas Kavakos and cellist Alexander Ivashkin, and has also performed with the Botton Eurythmy Ensemble in two concert tours around the UK that included over 40 performances. 

While at the Royal College of Music and Goldsmiths College, Vicky participated in solo piano and chamber-music master-classes given by K. Gilbert, A. Semetsky, S. Isserlis, T. Allen, B. Zander, B. Berman and D. Han. With a scholarship by the Paxos Festival, she participated at the Sion Academy master-classes, working with N. Goerner and P. Badura-Skoda. She has also participated at the International Holland Music Sessions and worked with professors K. H. Kammerling and M. Voskresensky. She is a scholar of the Leventis Foundation and the Solti Foundation.

In August 2015, her world-premiere recording, with pianist George-Emmanuel Lazaridis, of Beethoven symphonies 1 & 5 arranged for piano 4-hands by Carl Czerny was released by Resonus Classics. She has also recorded for Toccata Classics, with pianist Jakob Fichert, repertoire for 2-pianos and piano 4-hands by Shostakovich.
