Robert Hunter has performed across the UK and Europe. Major London concert venues have included St. Johns Smith Square, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Blackheath Concert Halls and St. Martin-In-The-Fields. He also appears frequently as a guest pianist aboard many P&O and Cunard cruise ships giving series of solo recitals.

Concerto performances have included Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No.2 with London's Aurelian Ensemble, Schumann's Piano Concerto, Mozart’s Piano Concerto No.21 and Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue. Future Concerto appearances include a performance of Stanford’s 2nd Piano Concerto with the Somerset County Orchestra in March 2021.

In 2002 Robert performed with Opera Etcetera as a part of the Opera Holland Park festival exploring rare instrumental music by operatic composers. His performance of Donizetti's 1st Sonata for piano four hands with pianist Sandro Ivo Bartoli was later broadcast on Classic FM.

In 2015 Robert performed with internationally acclaimed violinist, Arabella Steinbacher at a promotional event to launch her recording of Mendelssohn and Tchaikovsky Concertos.

In September 2018 Robert performed a little-known version of Holst’s The Planets arranged for one piano, four hands with fellow pianist, James Longford. The concert took place on the 100th anniversary of the orchestral premiere and was accompanied by stunning visuals created by the National Space Centre. In July this year they also performed it at the Nottingham Chamber music Festival.

Robert graduated from the Royal College of Music in 2000 and has since been in demand as a solo pianist, accompanist and chamber musician. He currently holds the posts of Head of Piano at Forest School, East London, and teacher of piano and chamber music at Junior Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music, London.
